Bongsang Cho earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Metals and Jewelry from Hanyang University in South Korea. He is currently a Master of Fine Arts candidate at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. Upon moving to the United States in 2005, he worked with Komelia Okim taking classes and acting as an assistant for summer workshops at Penland School of Crafts. He has also attended numerous craft shows and worked as an assistant to Namu Cho, a well-known jeweler in the United States. This passion for teaching and learning led him to enroll at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He is currently in his third year of graduate study and his latest body of work is inspired by the combination of contemporary and traditional metalworking techniques.
